Travelling with Train to/from Laos

Laos it self does not have a railway system. The only railway station in Laos is Thanaleng (Vientiane) at the Lao side of the Friendship bridge.

We sell second and first class (VIP) train tickets to Bangkok. Including transfer from your Hotel/Guest house to the train station.

It's easy to travel from Vientiane to Bangkok (or vice versa) by train, using the daily overnight sleeper train direct from Vientiane to Bangkok via a special connecting local train to the new international rail terminal at Thanaleng in Laos, some 14 km outside Vientiane.  The train uses the new rail link over the Friendship Bridge across the Mekong river into Thailand, opened on 5 March 2009.  It's safe, cheap and comfortable.
